Do you like to “eat out?” To “eat out” is a phrasal verb meaning that youeat dinner in a restaurant. Sometimes, restaurants give us too much food, sowe’ll “take the food away.” This is a phrasal verb meaning that we take therest of the food home with us.

Jay: Would you like to “eat out”tonight?

Jen: Not tonight, thanks. I “ateout” last night. There was so much food on my plate that I “took it away” andwill eat it for dinner tonight.

外出就餐

你喜歡外出就餐嗎？“eat out”是一個動詞短語，表示你在餐館裡就餐。有時候，餐館提供的食物太多了，所以我們會“take the food away（打包）”。意思是我們把剩下的食物帶回家。

傑伊：今天晚上你想下館子嗎？

詹：今天晚上就不了，謝謝！“我昨天晚上纔出去吃過。”我盤子裡的食物太多所以我打包帶走了，今天晚餐會吃打包回來的食物。
