美國國防部政策副次長塔塔（Anthony Tata）13日和立陶宛國防部長會晤後，19日證實感染新冠肺炎，目前正在進行隔離治療。在此之前他曾接觸多位五角大廈高官，包含代理國防部長米勒（Christopher Miller）與陸海空軍司令。
退役陸軍准將塔塔日前被點名，可能接任國防部次長；身爲福斯新聞前評論員的他，過去立場風格鮮明，卻相關政策經眼也備受質疑；塔塔更曾批評歐巴馬是「恐怖主義領導人」。
