暴跳如雷，用英語怎麼表達

因爲人是有感情的，有感情就會產生情緒。其中生氣是其中最常見的情緒之一，但是氣大傷身，因此要控制自己的情緒，減少發脾氣的次數。其實很多的爭吵都是圍繞一些雞毛蒜皮的事情，主要還是碌碌無爲或無所事事造成的。

生氣只是一種情緒，但是在英語中“生氣”的表達方式數不勝數，有的使人怒火中燒，有的大發雷霆，有的暴跳如雷，如 get sb's goat，piss sb off 和 bite one's head off 等等，它們都可以表示“暴跳如雷”。

1. get sb's goat:

Don’t let Mary get your goat. She’s just irritable today.

別讓瑪麗惹你生氣。她今天很煩躁。

If there's one thing that gets my goat, it's some fashion critic telling us what we can and can't wear.

如果有一件事讓我惱火的話，那就是一些時尚評論家告訴我們什麼可以穿，什麼不能穿。

2. piss sb off:

Her attitude really pisses me off.

她的態度讓我厭煩極了。

John was so pissed off when he found out that someone else had been given the promotion instead of him.

當約翰發現別人代替他升職時，他非常生氣。

3. bite/snap one's head off:

I don't know what's wrong with Julia but she snapped my head off just now.

我不知道茱莉亞怎麼了，但她剛纔在生我的氣。

He was only making a suggestion — there’s no need to snap his head off!

他只是在提個建議，沒必要生他的氣！

相比於以上表達方式，lose one's temper 所表示的生氣的程度沒有那麼大，例如：

She never lost her temper, never raised her voice.

她從不發脾氣，從不da's大嗓門。

還有一個非常形象的習語 hit the roof，字面意思是“打天花板”，它的構造方法與 hit the road 類似；可想而知，hit the roof 有怒髮衝冠的感覺，用來表示非常生氣，可以意爲“暴跳如雷，勃然大怒，大發雷霆”等，例如：

When the referee disallowed his goal, he hit the roof and was given a red card.

當裁判駁回他的進球時，他勃然大怒並被紅牌罰下。

Dad will hit the roof when he finds out I dented the car.

跟 hit the roof 的程度相當的還有 annoy，irritate，enrage 或 infuriate 等單詞，不過這些單詞主要用來表示使某人大怒或生氣，例如：

annoy:

It annoys me that you're always late.

你總是遲到，我很生氣。

irritate:

After a while her behaviour really began to irritate me.

過了一會兒，她的行爲真的開始激怒我了。

enrage:

Plans to build a new nightclub in the neighbourhood have enraged local residents.

在附近建一家新夜總會的計劃激怒了當地居民。

infuriate:

Her silence infuriated him even more.

她的沉默使他更加憤怒了。

很多人只把 anger 當名詞使用，其實 anger 也可以作動詞，意爲“使發怒，激怒”，例如：

The question clearly angered him.

這個問題顯然激怒了他。

It always angers me to see so much waste.

看到這麼多浪費總是讓我生氣。

亂髮脾氣不是本事，一個人只要有了爲之奮鬥的偉大目標，就會漸漸遠離雞毛蒜皮的事情，從而最大程度地減少亂髮脾氣的次數。
